A legend, often called the "Godfather of California natural wine," Tony is celebrating his 58th vintage! From the beginning, his wines have been 0/0, with no additives at any stage. If you ask Tony “why?” he’ll just tell you that’s how his family always did it. In 1901 his grandfather Enrico immigrated to San Francisco, where he worked as a cooper. He taught the traditional winemaking techniques of his Italian village to his son Harry “Red,” who in turn taught them to his sons Phil and Tony. Red & sons founded Coturri Winery in 1979. Situated on Sonoma Mountain, Tony has inspired and mentored countless people in the natural wine community, and amassed fans worldwide with his raw, bold California wines.
