Podere Ruggeri Corsini was started by Nicola Argamante and Loredana Addari in 1995. The two fell in love while at the University of Turin, where Loredana was getting a post-graduate degree in viticulture, and Nicola a PhD in oenology. They now have 25 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards, and practice sustainability in all their operations, from a solar powered tasting room to using lightweight bottles to reduce carbon footprint. And they produce wonderful Piedmont wines, including an old vine Barbera from Monforte d'Alba - the village famous for (and normally reserved for) the production of Barolo - and a Barolo from Bussia, one of finest vineyards in Monforte d’Alba.
