Scott Sisemore launched Waxwing in 2007, and has been making his wines in Belmont since 2014. Scott continues to impress us with his beautiful wines made from cool-climate grapes. Their balance and purity allow the fruit to shine, while reflecting the unique vineyards they come from.
Scott is returning to minimo for a winemaker tasting this Saturday, showcasing all new releases. They include a gorgeous riesling from Tondré Vineyard in Santa Lucia Highlands, a complex and bright rosé of pinot noir from Delfina’s Vineyard in Arroyo Seco, and a rock-solid syrah made with no added sulfites, dark and smooth with great structure, from the Flocchini Vineyard in Sonoma’s Petaluma Gap. Waxwing’s production is very small, so it will be a treat to taste the lineup and meet him in person. Don’t miss it!
